bigger

Bigger

First off I cant keep a promise
Im no one to count on at all
Add on that Im a coward
To scared to return your calls

Chorus
But you dont care
You keep sticking around
While Im locked in a cloud
Youre bigger
Lalala
Cuz youre still here
Your feet stuck to the ground
Despite how silly it sounds
Youre bigger
Than me
Lalala

Its known that Im a liar
Often Im blacker than white
Add on my uncanny ego
No ones as humbled like I

All the messed up things I do
Yeah I swear I make them up to you
Before youre going heaven knows
Just let me make it better
Ill try to measure up to you

It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone – but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Love is like an earthquake-unpredictable, a little scary, but when the hard part is over you realize how lucky you truly are.

hurt

Hurt lyrics
Songwriters: Aguilera, Christina; Perry, Linda; Ronson, Mark;

Seems like it was yesterday when I saw your face

You told me how proud you were, but I walked away
If only I knew what I know today, ooh, ooh
I would hold you in my arms, I would take the pain away
Thank you for all you’ve done, forgive all your mistakes
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to hear your voice again
Sometimes I wanna call you but I know you won’t be there

Oh, I’m sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn’t do
And I’ve hurt myself by hurting you

Some days I feel broke inside but I won’t admit
Sometimes I just wanna hide ’cause it’s you I miss
And it’s so hard to say goodbye when it comes to this, ooh

Would you tell me I was wrong? Would you help me understand?
Are you looking down upon me? Are you proud of who I am?
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to have just one more chance
To look into your eyes and see you looking back

Oh, I’m sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn’t do
And I’ve hurt myself, oh

If I had just one more day
I would tell you how much that I’ve missed you
Since you’ve been away

Oh, it’s dangerous
It’s so out of line
To try and turn back time

I’m sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn’t do
And I’ve hurt myself
By hurting you

If I were a boy!

If I were a boy even just for a day

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k45LCa72Cw
I’d roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted
And go drink beer with the guys

And chase after girls
I’d kick it with who I wanted
And I’d never get confronted for it
‘Cause they stick up for me

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I’d be a better man

I’d listen to her
‘Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
‘Cause he’s taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a boy
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it’s broken
So they’d think that I was sleeping alone

I’d put myself first
And make the rules as I go
‘Cause I know that she’d be faithful
Waiting for me to come home, to come home

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I’d be a better man

I’d listen to her
‘Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
‘Cause he’s taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

It’s a little too late for you to come back
Say it’s just a mistake
Think I’d forgive you like that
If you thought I would wait for you
You thought wrong

But you’re just a boy
You don’t understand
And you don’t understand, oh
How it feels to love a girl
Someday you wish you were a better man

You don’t listen to her
You don’t care how it hurts
Until you lose the one you wanted
‘Cause you’re taking her for granted
And everything you had got destroyed
But you’re just a boy

When You Are Old

William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)

                    When You Are Old

WHEN you are old and gray and full of sleep,

old&gray

old&gray

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
    Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
    And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face among a crowd of stars.

The above poem was published in The Rose in 1893. It can be found in:

  • Yeats, William Butler. The Collected Poems of W.B. Yeats. Definitive Edition, with the Author’s Final Revisions. New York: The Macmillan Company, 1956.

The “Lake Isle of Innisfree” is a poem written by William Butler Yeats about an island in Lough Gill. It was contained in a collection of his poetry titled The Countess Kathleen and Various Legends and Lyrics published in 1893.

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,

And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:

Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,

And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there,

    for peace comes dropping slow Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;

There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,

And evenings full of the linnet’s wings.

I will arise and go now,

    for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;

While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements gray,

I hear it in the deep heart’s core.
